Dr. Jeff Stark

Bridgeway experienced an amazing celebratory and sad weekend, May 4-5. We received a final, powerful message of encouragement from Pastor Jeff, prayed over him, Angie, and their boys, and released them forward to God's new season of ministry for their lives: the heart of Chicago. Pastor Jeff will be serving as a full-time faculty member in the School of Theology and Christian Ministry at Olivet Nazarene University and as Director for the Center for Theological Leadership. Also, he and his family will be serving alongside Olivet and the Chicago Central District of the Church of the Nazarene to mobilize leaders to explore innovative opportunities of engaging the needs of Chicago's urban context.

Pastor Jeff, Angie, and family: we are so grateful for your heart investment in Bridgeway Community Church and we pray you forward as you invest the same love for Jesus Christ and others in downtown Chicago and Olivet University. We will miss you deeply.

Pastor Linsy Stockham

Pekin Campus Pastor, Family Ministries Pastor, Merge Youth Pastor

Pastor Linsy Stockham has felt the call to ministry since she was a little girl. "God has consistently been faithful in the rescue, redemption, and restoration of my life; Jesus saved me physically and spiritually. I live every day in hope that I'm mirroring Christ to others, both at home and to the world."

A miracle took place in 2003 when God restored Linsy's broken family. One year after their divorce from each other, Linsy and Wes Stockham reunited in marriage. They have three teenagers: Ethan, Trinity, and Gabe.

Surrendered to Christ, Linsy chooses to be willing, available, and led by God's Spirit. She has participated in the ministries of dance, prison, women, youth, children, outreach, and worship. Linsy is author of the children's book, Tiny Giants (2008), all profits benefiting efforts to stop human trafficking. Working for the Bloomington YMCA for seven years gave Linsy amazing opportunities to share Jesus with hundreds of children and with college-age students. As a nine-year paraprofessional for Olympia West, Linsy gained invaluable experience in special needs, classrooms, and family relations within community.

Again saying “yes” to God, Linsy accepted the position of Bridgeway Pekin Campus Pastor in 2018. She also continues to serve as Bridgeway's Family Ministries Pastor (2016), and Merge Youth Pastor (2014). Linsy earned her district pastor licensing in 2017 and pursues further MPP coursework through Nazarene Bible College.

Curt Evans

Marquette Heights Campus Pastor

Pastor Curt first felt the call of God on his life at about age of eleven. He grew up in a Catholic family and felt that becoming a Catholic priest was the direction he should go. After High School, he spent eighteen months at Cardinal Glennon Seminary in St. Louis Mo. "Through the years of seminary and learning more about Jesus from a Catholic perspective, I realized I didn't have a true relationship with my Creator. I asked Jesus to be the Holy Author of my life in the spring of 2006 and have been on an amazing faith journey ever since!"

In the summer of 2010, God rekindled the call of ministry in Curt's heart. "I love worship music so I thought that was the direction I was to go with ministry, but God, as always, was working and redirecting me in the service of His kingdom. It became apparent that He was calling me to the harvest and to be a church planter." Curt joined the Church Plant Residency Program at Bridgeway Community Church in Pekin in the spring of 2018. The plan was to develop a Mobile Music Outreach Church in Raleigh N.C. as part of the Arrow Church plant that the Sapp family was embarking on that summer. "Then the worst thing happened; our Marquette Heights pastor, Chris Seis, suddenly lost his life. God redirected me once again and placed my gaze and back on our Marquette Heights community."

Since Pastor Chris’s passing, Curt has been serving as Campus Pastor for Bridgeway Community Church Marquette Heights. "I love that community! God is good, He is faithful and always at work!"

Curt and Brittany have been married for twelve years and have three children, Lilly, Jack, and a baby girl soon coming, Leah! They are very excited to serve the Marquette Heights community.
